PickleMe LLC is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the PickleMe mobile application. 1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

  • Account information: Full name, email address, username, phone number, and gender when you create an account.

  • Profile photo: An optional photo you choose to upload.

  • Communications: Messages sent through the in-app Quick Chat feature between you and your friends.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Location data: With your permission, we collect your precise GPS location to show your active pickleball session on a map to your friends and to display nearby players. Location is only collected while the App is in active use.

  • Session data: Information about pickleball sessions you start, including start time, duration, and location coordinates. This history is stored in your account.

  • Device identifiers: A unique identifier assigned to your account by Firebase Authentication for secure sign-in.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account

  • Display your location on the map to friends while you have an active session

  • Enable social features such as friend connections, leaderboards, streaks, and session milestones

  • Allow friends to send you Quick Chat messages

  • Send you local push notifications (streak reminders, session alerts) — only if you grant permission

  • Improve and maintain the App

We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

3. How We Share Your Information

With Other Users When you start a pickleball session, your name, profile photo, session start time, and approximate location are visible to users you have added as friends. Your session count and streak are visible to your friends on the leaderboard.

With Service Providers We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

  • Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Storage) — used for user authentication, data storage, and profile image hosting. Firebase is operated by Google LLC. See https://policies.google.com/privacy

We do not share your personal information with any other third parties except as required by law.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information and session history for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at picklemeapp@gmail.com, or by using the “Delete Account” feature in profile settings.

5. Your Rights and Choices

  • Location: You can disable location access at any time in your iPhone's Settings → PickleMe → Location. Without location access, active sessions cannot be shown on the map.

  • Notifications: You can disable push notifications at any time in Settings → Notifications → PickleMe.

  • Account information: You can update your name, email, username, phone number, profile photo, and password through the Edit Profile page in the App.

  • Data deletion: To request deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us at picklemeapp@gmail.com.

6. Children's Privacy

PickleMe is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including Firebase's built-in encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
